God damn! That's really not good.
You remember my comment a month ago about maybe considering a do-over on Brand signing? What do ya think now?
Of course, I know we can't move him now. And even if he comes back strong early next season, he's still gonna be hard to move. The truth is, thus far his impact has not been felt on this team. He has not had sufficient time to fulfill his promise on the Sixers. The problem is, we haven't even seen flashes that would get us excited. His play has been pedestrian. Meanwhile, Speights looks like our PF of the future. I'm not saying (like many) we're a better without EB. But we could be. We may be next year.
Given all this, I think I am ready to join you in the 'sell high on 'Dre' chorus. With a healthy EB, we weren't a contender, but we'd at least see what we've got come this postseason. Now, we're going doing it just for kicks. We have less chance of luring 'Dre back than we did. We may as well just go ahead and move 'Dre for a shooter and a pick. We're gonna be young, and we're gonna run. That's who we are for the forseeable future. Maybe we can go blockbuster and try to get Sammy in the deal as well.
I'm sure Mike Dunleavy is laughing a miserable laugh right now. THe Clips might even win one tonight.
