the Erz are jockeying for 4th worst record in the league. A high to middle draft pick and defensive-minded coach could do a lot for this team next year. Sammy's contract will be a lure.
i don't think I'm at the "get rid of Stephanski" point yet, but he had better get the next coach right. The only things he's done since being here at overpay Iggy, sign Brand to one of the worst contracts in the league and bring in his buddy who happens to be a horrible coach. If Holiday turns into a solid player, that's one positive. But he's batting about .150 right now.
I got courtsides with my Pop to go see D-Wade last month. The Erz got crushed, but it was fascinating to watch the game from that perspective. It was like pick up. Two quick points: 1) Sammy is not the problem with this team. He's the only interior defensive presence they have. He's also the only guy who looked like he cared about how things were going. 2) Eddie Jordan did not stand up once during the entire game!!!! He didn't whistle to get guys attention. I, literally, never heard his voice for 48 minutes. What the $%#! is that? He's an abonimation, and has completely given up on his team. As a fan (and someone sitting in an expensive seat), I was disgusted and offended.
